Chocolate Cravings

Week 11, Semester 1.

Hours worked in the last week: 30.5.

Hours spent doing assessments: countless.

Hours spent procrastinating: too many.

Chocolate consumed: none.

NONE! How is this so??? Although in my crazed state of dealing with a new job (plus an old one), not having enough time to post things I’ve been meaning to (I’ve now got two post-its full of ideas) and dealing with an ever-increasing pile of housework, friend catch-ups I’ve been putting off and just life in general, I’ve managed to keep myself together… barely… and haven’t even had a chocolate bar. Oh. God.

I’m also in the process of dealing with an unruly assessment group member who hasn’t sent through their part of the work they’re meant to do and sends me cryptic text messages every time I ask for it. GRRR!!! And my washing’s not dry yet.

On the plus side of life:

  • all of my vintage earrings I bought on eBay have finally arrived
  • steadily sampling all of the new cosmetic products I’ve bought (whilst trembling at the sight of my bank account balance)
  • said bank account balance shall be remedied next week with first installment from my new job, yay!
  • have decided on a Fiji holiday at some point in the near future
  • my boyfriend has finally decided on a future job
  • I get to see my favourite cousin on the weekend for his 25th definitely no older than 21st birthday

Must get back to slogging out these assessments and overdosing on coffee, I will post MUCH more interesting things in the future, I promise, especially if there’s chocolate involved (and there most definitely will be).

Much love, Lady Grey.

Delicious, I could go this right now!

“A mermaid found a swimming lad,
Picked him up for her own,
Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down
Forgot in cruel happiness
That even lovers drown.”

—W.B. Yeats (via libraryland)

Second day spent on the couch, coughing my little lungs out and drinking tea, procrasting with assessments. Bah humbug.
